Ionian Island Union with Greece Anniversary

Place of event: Lixouri & Argostoli
The main event is the parade of all schools of Kefalonia in Argostoli and Lixouri port roads. Especially in Lixouri the parade is of great importance and formality as most of the people who fought and organised this union were from Lixouri. The parade starts from the Rizospaston square which is dedicated to them. Many events take place this day with the most important being the folklore dances from all the local dancing clubs.
