Place of event: Lixouri
The Carnival in Lixouri is an event which goes on for more than a century. It was a getaway for people to have fun but most importantly to express their satirical spirit. Let's not forget that one of the most satirical poets and writers of Greece was Andreas Laskaratos from Lixouri.
Anyhow, Carnival in Lixouri offers a great fun for everyone and all ages with many games such as the "Hidden Treasure", with many events such as concerts, many crazy theme parties such as "Sex Change" and many people dancing and laughing everywhere.
Each bar, cafe, school class or even friends make a different theme group and participate in the night parade of Saturday the 13th of February and the day parade on Sunday the 14th of February. If you do not have a costume, do not worry! There is always last minute chance to find one or even wear your clothes inside out!
