Exploring Kefalonia's most virgin and beautiful areas in a jeep along with a local guide is sure to be an experience one will never forget. The Jeep Safari is a combination of driving, trekking and swimming.
The jeeps can take up to four people including the driver. The driver can either be one of the guiding team, or the guests themselves as long as they have an international driving license.
- Duration: 6 hour(s)
- Location: National Park of Mount Ainos
Starting from Argostoli the tour first drives to the Cyclopean walls where there is a stop for a full guided tour along the walls which have a very interesting history. The next stop is a small exhibition centre.
After driving through the National Park, the cars will be left behind for a trek up to the top of the mountain (1628m).
There are incredible views on the descent, even of mainland Greece. There will be a stop at the small church of Life Source. It is possible to stop close to the source of spring-water where wild horses usually drink water.
The last stop is at Paradisi Beach. Swimming in crystal clear waters is incredibly refreshing after all the driving and walking, and perfect to work up an appetite for lunch.
A snack of a sandwich and coffee are included in the price of the tour.
