Right in the heart of Argostoli, in 1780, the family mansion of Louka Metaxa - Tzanatou - Kapsoliveri was built for permanent residence. It is important to note that the family was connected with very important historical events in Greece's modern history. At the time, the building had three floors with twelve rooms and large reception areas therefore after being used from the family for sixty five years it was easily rented to be a hotel in 1845 for the first time. Kefalonia had its first hotel running until 1941. During the Second World War, Mussolini's forces occupied the island and Aenos hotel was turned to the officer's club of Aqui Division, which was based in the center of the town.
After the liberation, Aenos Hotel was opened again accommodating travellers until again its operation was interrupted. This time it was the catastrophic earthquake in 1953 which not only destroyed the building but it also caught on fire and all its precious furniture was totally burnt.
After eight years, in 1961, the hotel was rebuilt with shops on the ground floor and eight rooms on the first floor. Since then it has changed a lot through years and will change again very soon!
Through years it has always been a hotel recommended for couples, business travellers and individual travelers visiting the island on business or holidays.

Aeno's reception on the ground floor is amply spaced and includes, in addition to the guest checking in the area, a comfortable lounge. On the same floor there is an internet cafe serving very good coffee and a very nice view to the square. The same area is used for the restaurant and the bar. It is definitely a meeting point!

Late check-out depends on the availability of the room. When it is only a few hours longer, there is no extra charge. Also in case there is no availability and the guest has to check out on the time specified, then luggage can be stored to the property and common shower and toilette facilities may be used.

For cancellations made 21 days or more before arrival, there will be the full refund of the 25% deposit.
For cancelations made 8 days to 20 days before arrival there will be no refund of the deposit.
Full payment must be made 7 days before arrival. In a case of cancellation made 7 days or less before arrival there will be a 50% refund of the total payment.
In the case of no-show, there will be no refund.
